B. Braun expands footprint in Vietnam with ground-breaking of new factory

B. Braun celebrated the official ground-breaking of a state-of-the-art Haemodialysis Concentrate Factory in the Thanh Oai Industrial Complex in Hanoi, Vietnam on January 10, 2022.

The Haemodialysis Concentrate Factory, which has a construction footprint of around 4000m2 and an initial investment of USD 5 million, will enable B. Braun Vietnam to serve the local and international markets with more than 2.5 million units of 10-litre canisters of haemodialysis concentrate per year. The factory will also help create further capabilities and jobs for over 160 employees. It will also enable B. Braun Vietnam to continuously serve the markets and help to protect and improve the health of thousands of patients every day in Vietnam and around the world.

“B. Braun Vietnam’s journey began 30 years ago, and we have since grown our footprint in Vietnam to become one of the largest German foreign direct investors in the country with a remarkable medical complex hosting over 1,400 skilled employees. Today, we are continuing our journey, our commitment, and our promise to protect and improve the health of people around the world, here in Vietnam,” said Mr. Torben Minko, General Director of B. Braun Vietnam at the ground-breaking ceremony.
