B. Braun Indonesia donates to Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia

B. Braun Indonesia joined colleagues from across the Asia Pacific region to take part in the B. Braun Asia Pacific Virtual Charity Run 2021 to successfully reach and surpass the target of 300,000 KM to unlock a total donation of EUR80,000 for 17 children’s charities across the region.

In line with this, B. Braun Indonesia presented a donation of EUR5,000 to the Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia (Indonesian Children Cancer Foundation). The foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to assist the development of children welfare, especially early detection, and treatment of children with cancer in Indonesia. It also aims to raise community awareness and attention towards childhood cancer.

The donation handover was done by Mr. Rainer Ruppel, President Director of B. Braun Indonesia. “We are happy to support the work of these brave families at Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia! So much commitment and passion,” said Rainer. The representative from Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia thanked B. Braun Indonesia for this initiative and concern towards children with cancer and hoped that the Foundation and B. Braun Indonesia would collaborate continuously in the future.

B. Braun Asia Pacific Virtual Charity Run is the first Virtual Charity Run in Asia Pacific which raised 80,000 euros for 17 children's charities in the Asia-Pacific region. The runners from Asia were supported by colleagues from other countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the UK, the USA, the Maldives and South Africa. As a result, the original goal of 300,000 kilometres was even exceeded: In total, the 2,111 participants ran, jogged, or hiked 301,526 kilometres.
