The Ecoflac® plus IV container is designed to allow easy storage and convenient handling. Unlike glass bottles, it is virtually unbreakable to help avoid the risks of drug spillage and related contamination, in case the bottle is dropped accidentally. The B. Braun pharmaceutical labeling concept was developed to allow a rapid identification and clear differentiation between the different solutions available in Ecoflac® plus, in order to help prevent possible medication errors caused by wrong medication selection.
Ergonomic design
The Ecoflac® plus bottle is light and has an ergonomic oval design to facilitate its handling. Unlike glass bottles, it is virtually unbreakable, so that even if dropped by accident no glass splinters are created and no spillage occurs.
Convenient storage
The Ecoflac® plus IV containers are easy store, either standing upright or laying on their side. This is meant to optimize the space in the storage area and manage inventory efficiently.
Safety labeling concept
B. Braun' safety labeling concept was developed together with clinical experts, with the intention to help reduce the risk of medication errors caused by look-like labels. The use of colors, large sized text, as well as contrasting backgrounds help distinguishing the different solutions and concentration and identifying the critical information at a glance. Geometric shapes, such as triangles, are also used to create a differentiating element between high alert medications and standard solutions which have linear design labels.
